This is the really fun part (and also the hardest part)!! Do you have a theme in mind for your little ones session? Wether it's their current favorite tv show, their nursery theme, dads favorite football team, or mamas favorite flower we have access to about 30,000 backdrops you can pick from!
I always tell my clients if you don't have a theme in mind find some favorites from my vendors, then narrow it down from there until you pick THE one! I'm happy to help you pick too!
The silver package includes a balloon garland backdrop custom made in your preferred colors to match babies birthday theme, or it can be neutrals! We include a solid color cake, splash bath, and then a second backdrop with this package. It comes with all the images from the session. $350
The gold package includes a themed printed backdrop to match babies birthday theme! (Think football, Star Wars, Princesses, Bows, etc) We include a custom designed cake that matches the backdrop, splash bath, and then a second backdrop with this package. It comes with all the images from the session. $450
Our sessions last about an hour! I am VERY patient with my babies. I'll do some gently playing with them to get them used to me first. Then we start on babies smash cake set, where we'll do some cute portraits on their birthday set. Then I bring in cake and let them explore, and smash their cake! Next they get to play in a bubble bath and splash water everywhere. Finally we end on a neutral set for some non themed photos of little one.
That's okay too! Some babies just will not touch their cake, and that's normal. What do we do? Well from the beginning we urge you the week before your session to give baby a couple mini cupcakes in random places in your house. This not only familiarizes them with the taste and texture, but smashing it somewhere different and weird normalizes this experience to eat cake in a new place!
If they just don't want it at all sometimes we stage it, or put puffs in it to try to get them to eat it, but overall if they don't want it, we don't force them at all and focus more heavily on the bath and neutral portraits. Most of my galleries end up with 75-100 images from the session no matter what!
I encourage everyone to book when their baby is 9 months old, but we do need at minimum a 6 week window. Why so early? There are times when our backdrop companies take a bit longer to print and ship, and postal shipping can have delays. When we book a little early this guarantees our backdrops will arrive in time and we have a cushion of time if they arrive damaged (it has happened unfortunately). This also allows my baker to order any supplies she needs to make your cake perfect, and secures our spot with her!
